The goal of REDC policy efforts are to facilitate policy-related advocacy by REDC members in each of their states and at the Federal level on issues related to access to care for individuals needing residential care. The REDC Policy Committee is responsible for guiding REDC Policy Activities.
Priorities for 2016 included building support for and passing provisions from the Anna Westin Act of 2015 (H.R. 2515/S. 1865) within the 21st Century Cures Act, which was passed by Congress in December, 2016.
